The KP-5 is our five stage RO that utilizes our new manifold model, specifically designed for ease is installation and maintenance. The following features are used specifically for EPA Safe Drinking water Act Compliance purposes:
NSF Certified
- As a complete system as required by the Safe Drinking Water Act (not a component listing)
Monitoring Faucet
- Provides double check to ensure proper operation and maintenance of the RO
- Green and Red light display indicates to user when it is time to service the RO
- Monitors both efficiency of RO membrane and annual replacement of the carbon filters
Higher grade pre-filters for annual replacement.
- Cuts down on additional six month operation and maintenance costs that most other POU products have.
Tank Ball Valve
- Utilized for faster system maintenance.

- Higher grade pre-filters for annual replacement
- Tank Ball Valve
- Ideal for low pressure applications
- No Air Gap required
- No drain connection needed
On-site testing of the POU devices using test strips - Arsenic Quick II
For many states, it will be necessary for the water system to periodically test the water from the POU device to document the performance of the water filtration device. Part of the compliance monitoring will utilize this Arsenic Quick II test kit for the on-site testing of the POU devices.
This test kit has been independently evaluated and tested to easily and quickly (under 15 minutes) provide reliable results for arsenic levels in water. Can provide accurate results for arsenic levels at the following concentrations: 0, 2.5, 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 20, 30, 50, 70, and 100 ppb

Commercial and Industrial water treatment packages
Watts Premier offers water treatment products for larger applications where point of entry or centralized water treatment is needed. Used for arsenic, nitrates, lead, radium, perchlorate, fluoride or one of the other water parameters Watts Premier offers several different lines of water treatment units for your larger water treatment needs.
M-Series Reverse Osmosis units.
These systems have been independently tested through the EPA ETV testing program. The M- Series RO modules range in size from 1,000 gallons per day up to 20,000 gallons per day. These systems are built on to a small reinforced frame making it easily portable for shipping purposes. These RO units are custom build in Phoenix AZ , and can be custom designed for your specific water characteristics.

Treatment Capabilities |
High levels of arsenic removal
Capable of reducing multiple water contaminants at the same time with no additional capital cost.
Removes a wide variety of dissolved inorganic and organic constituents
No spiking or release of competing ions in to the drinking water
No filter ripening or breakthrough during which reduced performance can occur
Feed water recovery between 30 and 85 percent |
Arsenic removal is dependent on coagulant feed dose and overall water quality
Efficacy of coagulant is dependent on water quality parameters
With appropriate chemical destabilization, provides an effective, although not absolute, barrier to particulate material and microorganisms
Reduced performance can occur during filter maturation (necessitating filter-to-waste) and breakthrough
Variations in feed water quality can necessitate changes in chemical conditioning and can degrade filtered water quality |
Chemical and Material Requirements |
No chemicals necessary |
Coagulation chemicals, including metal ion coagulants and synthetic polymers, required to achieve effective particulate removal
Chemical disinfection required |
Power Requirements |
Membrane processes are typically driven by pressure
Pumping is required for backwashing |
Plants are typically driven by pressure
Power requirements can include mechanical mixing, filter backwashing, operation of chemical feed pumps, etc. |
Labor Requirements |
Plants can be fully automated with minimal labor requirements
Labor is required for periodic chemical cleaning |
Plants can be operated with varying degrees of automation; most systems have higher labor requirements than membrane systems
Plants may require special operations to handle the heavy caustic that may be required for operation. |
Suitability for Remote Monitoring and Operation |
Due to the high degree of automation and low maintenance requirements, membrane plants can be readily monitored and operated remotely |
More complex operation makes these systems less suitable than membrane systems for remote monitoring and operation |
Ability to Be Managed by Part-time Staff |
Can be managed effectively by part-time staff due to low maintenance requirements, high degree of automation and lack of dependence of filtered water quality on raw water quality |
Higher degree of operator attention required for maintaining appropriate chemical treatment due to changes in raw water quality, higher maintenance requirements and often a lower degree of automation |
Ease of Installation and Expansion |
Modular configuration simplifies capacity increases (or seasonal decreases)
Skid-mounted systems simplify installation and start-up
Membrane systems typically have higher ratios of production capacity to footprint than conventional systems |
Expansion typically requires additional design and construction, or engineering costs and studies to demonstrate operation at higher filtration rates or lower flocculation detention times |
